The fifth season of the celebrity dance show,
Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, is coming to an end with the grand finale to be aired
on Colors on Sep 30. Three semi-finalists, Gurmeet Choudhary, Rithvik
Dhanjani, Isha Sharwani and Rashmi Desai Sandhu will compete against
each other to take home the trophy.
Buzz has it that Isha Sharwani, the fourth finalist, who mesmerized viewers with her dancing skills and won hearts with the aerial dance act with choreographer Salman Yusuf Khan has dropped out of the competition.
The 27-year-old reportedly suffered facial injuries after a bad fall at a friend's place and does not wish to face the camera.
Commenting on the rumors afloat, Salman stated, "Haan (yes). Isha has got some injuries but not during rehearsals. She was at a friend's place. She fell at a friend's place.”
He added a little cautiously, “Until it is televised, I won't be able to comment on it. I am not in a state to comment over anything right now."
Madhuri-Sridevi face off
The main attraction of this grand finale is expected to be the performance by Bollywood beauty Sridevi and the “dhak dhak diva” Madhuri Dixit.
While Madhuri is on the judging panel with Karan Johar and choreographer Remo D’Souza, Sridevi, will make a guest appearance on the show to promote her upcoming film English Vinglish which marks her comeback to cinema after 15 years.
The two screen goddesses once said to be arch rivals are gifted with divine looks, poise, talent and amazing dance abilities. Much to the delight of viewers, the ultimate divas of all time are set to shake a leg on the dance floor of Jhalak 5.
Now that is indeed something to look forward to! In a win-win situation, viewers will get a chance to see the flamboyant yet classic moves of Sri and the ultra seductive dance steps of Mads when the duo scorch the stage on September 30th.
