“Since Dharamji has opted out of the show, the channel wants a
strong, popular personality. Since they already have a great rapport
with Karan (thanks to JDJ), the channel heads want him on the show. The
talks are in the final stages,” says an insider.
When contacted, Karan confirms that “Colors has approached me for the
show.” He adds, “I’m meeting the channel’s representatives on Monday.
So, things will be clear only after that,” he says.
In the past, Karan has hosted the super-successful celebrity chat
show, Koffee with Karan, in addition to the 2010 celeb-meets-fan show,
Lift Kara De. “For me, TV as a medium will always be special. I love the
small screen because I enjoy being in front of the camera. And clearly,
all the credit goes to my stint with Koffee With Karan, which I will
resume early next year,” adds Karan.
About his present show, Karan says, “I’m happy that people like my
debut as a judge on JDJ.” KJo is also busy with the last leg of
post-production work on his upcoming film, Student Of The Year. “The
other day, I was joking with Farah (Khan) that now, the only thing
that’s left for me to do is act with her in a movie. I’m sure someone
will offer me that too,” he laughs.
