Television actress Rashmi Sandhu is ready to shake a leg as a wild card entry in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Season 5. She talks to Ritika Arora about being jittery
Rashmi Sandhu appeared to have vanished after marriage to co-star Nandish Sandhu, of Uttaran fame. But now she is featuring in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Season 5. Rashmi is one of five wild card entrants, performing before Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar and Remo D’souza.
Rashmi said, “I am nervous and excited too. I never participated in a reality dance show before.”
In a short span of time, Rashmi impressed with her work in shows like Comedy Circus and Uttaran.
“I have done comedy, and emotional drama. Now it is time to groove,” stressed Rashmi, who began her career in Bhojpuri films.
Asked about the rehearsals, she told us, “It’s been a few days. We
are working hard. Though I am a trained Kathak dancer, I know
contemporary dance, I started with the basics here.”
She added, “The competition is strong. I followed the show
religiously. Competing with brilliant contestants like Isha Sharvani and
Shibani Dandekar will be tough. But I am going to give it my best.”
Her favorite dance form is Bollywood Jazz.
She also enjoys watching her fellow contestant, Jayati Bhatia.
“Hamari TV ki sasu maa is doing pretty good,” she laughed.
As for the judges, she said, “I am a big Madhuri Dixit fan. She is a fabulous dancer.”
Other wild card entrants on the show include Jay Soni, Avika Gaur and Karan Wahi.
