Jhalak brings Colors back at No. 2

Jhalak Dikhhla Ja opens at 3.13 TVR contributing 13.7 GRPs to Colors; Zee TV slipped to No. 3 and Sony to No. 4 in Week 24 of TAM 2012

 According to TAM data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 24 (June 10 – June 16), there are big changes in the pecking order from the second to sixth position. Registering highest growth this week, Colors has jumped to No. 2 again. Zee TV has slipped to No. 3 despite adding 9 GRPs this week. Sony has lost a few more GRPs and after several weeks the channel has slipped below the 200-mark.

Another change is at No. 5 where SAB TV has dislodged Life OK. Both the channels have witnessed decline in GRPs this week where Life OK has lost maximum 16 GRPs.

Star Plus has maintained the status quo at No. 1 with 268 GRPs this week (last week 269).

Backed by the launch of celebrity dancing show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Ja’ on June 16 that opened at 3.13 TVR and added 13.7 GRPs to the channel,  

Colors has reclaimed No. 2 position. The channel has added 15 GRPs and recorded a total of 215 GRPs this week (last week 200).

Despite adding 9 GRPs this week,  

Zee TV slipped to No. 3 with 212 GRPs (last week 203).

Sony Entertainment Television has gone below the 200-mark after several weeks. At No. 4, the channel has recorded 187 GRPs (last week 201).

Despite losing a few GRPs this week, SAB TV is back at No. 5. The channel has fetched 116 GRPs against last week’s 120 GRPs.

Life OK has lost 16 GRPs this week to slip to No. 6. It has recorded 106 GRPs this week (last week 122).

Sahara One has improved a bit and recorded 36 GRPs this week (last week 31).
